The Danfoss MBT 9110 temperature transmitter can be used for converting the Pt100 ohm signal or the thermo couple mV signal to a 4 to 20 mA signal. The MBT 9110 can be used together with all types of MBT sensors, Pt100 as well as Thermo couple.
MBT 9110 transmitters in the standard program are delivered in an enclosure, but are also used as an integrated part of certain temperature sensors.
The transmitter is available as standard or galvanic isolated with or without EEx approval.

Flexibility is the key word
The MBT 9110 can be programmed by computer to convert Pt100, Pt1000 and the common thermocouple types to a 4 to 20 mA signal. It is also possible to program a sensor error or cable resistance into the transmitter and thereby automatically compensate the error. High measuring accuracy
The MBT 9110 has an extremely high measuring accuracy and this insures reliable measurement every time.
Suitable for EEx applications
MBT 9110 complies with Eex ia II C T1 ...T6.
Low sensibility towards electronic noise.
If needed, the MBT 9110 can be delivered with galvanic isolation. This is recommended when measuring with Thermocouples. Generally the MBT 9110 is resistant against influence from EMC and meets the requirements of EN 50081-1 and EN 50081-2.
Compensation of wire resistance
When using cables to transfer the signal from a Pt100 element, the resistance of the wires will give a measurement error.
The MBT 9110 automatically eliminates wire resistance errors by using 3 or 4-wire compensation. This is an advantage in situations where the transmitter cannot be placed near the sensor.
Multiple mounting methods
Flexibility is also a key word when mounting the MBT 9110.
The transmitter can be mounted on a DIN-rail, in a separate box or integrated in for example the MBT 5252.
Integrating the transmitter in the sensor ensures a reliable transfer of the measuring values to the controller.
